Lamination is a surface treatment in which a thin protective film - glossy, matt or soft touch - is applied to the printed material. It protects the print from moisture, scratches and extends its life. Lamination also improves the appearance of the printed material and gives a more professional impression. It is used for business cards, flyers, packaging and catalogues. Unlike mounting, it does not change the stiffness of the material but significantly increases its durability.
