When we were commissioned to make a puzzle box for Austrian Manner, it was like getting our hands on a piece of Austrian tradition. Do you know Manner? It's those famous pink wafers you remember from your childhood. Sweet nostalgia that takes you back to a time when everything was simpler - and of course sweeter.
The puzzle box for Manner was not just any ordinary box. It was a challenge. It had to be sturdy, stylish, and of course - pink. And that's where our favorite die-cutting die came in, making sure the box got its exact shape. Once you have a perfectly die-cut piece of cardboard in your hand that turns into a stylus in no time, you begin to realize just how much precision and craftsmanship it takes to make such a seemingly simple item.
Packaging materials, laminations and finishes? Of course, you couldn't do without it. We wanted the box to not only look good, but also to withstand all the trials that await it - from shipping, to the enthusiasm of puzzle fans big and small, to repeated opening and closing. Every detail has been thought out, every edge perfect. After all, we're making a box for Manner, and it's not just any manufacturer. It's a brand with a tradition that almost everyone knows.
So we wrapped the box, gave it a protective layer of lamination and sent it on its way. Now it's just waiting for someone to sit down with a puzzle in hand, bite into a wafer, and put two pieces of the sweet world together.
